Diary From A Dad | July 2023

As each month goes by my Diary from a Dad look at what’s happening with our little family, through all the adventures, challenges and obstacles that come to our lives. As a family of 5, with 3 children at different ages every day, week and month can offer something different. It was the end of the school year, Holiday time, and adventures out…. but with some news at the end of the month, it saw a change in our focus going into August.

Diary from a dad

As we left it last month….

As we left the end of the last month , we were away on a holiday for Roo, this was at Butlins Minehead a request from her to celebrate the end of her exams. As July began we were arriving home after a fun-filled week but a tiring one aswell.

The two younger kids however still had 3 weeks to go at school, in reality, not a lot was happening at school with Pigelt ending Key Stage 1 and seemingly stopping doing any work, while Tigger certainly had drastically reduced what he was doing, but it felt like July was wind down month, to me seemingly earlier in the month than I remember.

Cinema this big Summer

I mentioned before that we love to watch films at the cinema and in particular summer seems like a film for us every week, and going into July it was no different, its been a great way for Tigger and I, and then Roo as well for us to have some great time together.

Even Boo and I got to watch a film together in Oppenheimer, however, there’s been so many from Transformers, Spiderman, Indiana Jones, Mission Impossible, Barbie etc… even going to August there’s Meg and Expendables which are both something the kids would watch, Piglet wasn’t forgotten as she got to see a couple of films with Boo.

Day out at Roarr

This Summer is about local activities and visits so at the end of the month we begin some adventures, We visited Roarr Dinosaur Park our local attraction, its something we have visited a few times and have seen it grow and progress under newer ownership, seemingly every 6 months it makes better steps and catching up to other similar ones across the country.

This time they were promoting a couple of small dinosaur-themed Rides at the bottom end of the park, which is great for the kid and novel in their design.

Next month

Next month will see Summer Holidays in full swing, Roo has results, is volunteering at a school, and preparing for sixth Form, while we have adventures planned, the month will also see our world a little flipped, more on that next time.
