Below we look more into these methods of making additional money to your day job.

Run your own blog

Blogging is a popular way to make some extra money as it can be scaled up and there are various ways you can make money from it. You can bring an income through sponsored content such as competition or posts. You can bring in money through affiliate links or by using Google ads.

The more views you get the greater your income will be and for some people, when their blog becomes a success, they go full-time with it. A blog can be based on anything you are passionate about, you could start a fitness blog, a cocktail blog, a finance blog, a marketing blog, or a fashion blog – the possibilities are endless!

Turn freelance

Another popular method for people to make additional money to their day job is to freelance. Being freelance means you take on projects that you manage yourself and work on them in your free time, after work or over the weekend.

Freelancers charge more and the more clients you work with, the more income you will bring in. Just like blogging, some people will start freelancing in their spare time to then turn it into a full-time job once they have enough confidence and clients.

Take part in surveys

Making money through surveys won’t bring in a huge income, instead, it will top up your monthly earnings, which will pay for the small treats you enjoy in life. With a quick Google, you’ll find a variety of sites that will pay you to take part in their surveys.

These surveys can be done over 15 minutes, 30 minutes and an hour or more. The longer the survey takes to complete the more you will get paid for it. Bear in mind when signing up for survey sites, that you won’t get accepted into everyone as certain surveys will have certain criteria that need to be filled.
