Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the third instalment of Luigi in his own game, after years of accompanying Mario in his many games and adventures, he began a few years ago on the Gamecube battling ghosts etc in effort to save or help whatever the character/friends are in trouble. With Nintendo Switch at one of Nintendo consoles, all-time Peak Luigi is back.
I played Luigi’s Mansion years ago as I had been in the industry for years, so I thought I might, it was a little funny and unique at the time. I missed the second outing on 3DS, but with Tiggers love of his Nintendo Switch growing and his enjoyment of Adventure-style games also becoming some of his favourites this was a game that he wanted.
“Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends. With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous floors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them.”
Like most Switch games nowadays there are different games modes, the main one is a story mode that you are playing through, Luigi wins the prize to visit the Last Resort Hotel (spooky name) and after hearing screams he discovers King Boo has been set free and turning characters into ghosts etc… so you go on a quest to help and save the friends while collecting elevator buttons.
Scream Park mode is for local play where you can play mini-games with friends etc, the Scare Scraper is an online play which on the Nintendo Switch has been a much bigger emphasis than ever before for Nintendo, in the mode you can complete objectives on each Floor.

“I like this game because of the characters that appear but also you get to play as Luigi, if you get stuck you can use all of the Polar Gust abilities or take a different route.”
Overall
I’m so pleased they launched this game on the console, in the Nintendo family this is one of its more unique games, and as most of the adventure style games focuses on Mario etc it’s great to see Luigi get his game still. Any fans of platform games will enjoy it, it’s full of puzzles, story, and objectives which can be relatively ok to do for Kids but still challenging enough for them and older people. This still deserves to be one of the must-buys in your Nintendo library.
