Pokemon Shield is the latest in the long-lasting Pokemon Franchise which covers, Movies, Tv Series, Toys and Games, the games themselves cover multiple generations of consoles across the Nintendo family, and is even a Mobile App game now. But the traditional Pokemon Games come out with two versions, the game is essentially the same but historically the Pokemon is slightly different especially at the end, this version is the Shield but both are set in Galor, ultimately because Tigger preferred these ones end Pokemon.

Tigger has become a massive fan of Pokemon over the last year and a half, he enjoys Pokemon go, Trading cards, Toys and even has a book that he regularly reads for the information and facts of the different type of Pokemon. Every day he has Pokemon on the brain in some shape or form, this game though was arguably the number 1 game he’s wanted for the Switch, Pokemon Pikachu and Eevee was released but it was the same as a normal Pokemon game so he’s been waiting for this, it became the top of his Xmas list.
These Traditional style pokemon games are essentially about you working towards and being a trainer, capturing pokemon, evolving them, battling other people while doing a story, however, you can battle in Gyms and use improves your pokemon and learn how and what to use, as by now there is a whole set of Lore to do with Pokemon from over 20 years. You start off with a choice of Pokemon and go from there, based on the region, but you will no doubt see new and old pokemon.
Tigger says
“In the game, there is one singular mode and that is story mode, In story mode, you have to do the GYM missions and complete the objective, a tip is a higher level the pokemon, the stronger the Pokeball, this is a good game because I get to see the different type of Pokemon”
Overall
Overall you cant argue how successful Pokemon is, and their games are historically very good, some, of course, have been peoples personal favourites because of the story or certain Pokemon, I really like Saphire when I was younger, for example, some love Gold or Silver.
However Pokemon being on the switch is a great thing and arguably propelled it to one of THE games to get on the system, the controls are easy enough and the story is for children to follow, millions have played it so that tells you the level of it, it’s a game that can keep playing for hours and worth the hype.
I have not played on a nintendo switch before, but have heard such great things about them this looks like a great game
This sounds like a great game and its fab that the controls are easy enough to use for younger kids too! I remember Pokémon when I was a kid so love that its still around and super popular for our kids to enjoy now!
Jack really enjoys playing Pokemon Shield on the Switch, it is one of his favourite games to play. We’re having to send back our controllers as we’ve got an error but can’t wait until we get them back.
I am so behind on kids technology. The switch is something my nephew has been asking for a while but it won’t be until he is older – things are so expensive. It’s great to see pokemon still going strong
My boys are addicted to Pokemon Go so I bought them Shield and Sword for Christmas (one each), they love playing it and are always comparing pokemon won
My fiance got this game for his switch and he’s loving it. I’ve still not managed to give the switch a go as he’s always playing it x
My son got the switch for Christmas but he’s not played this I bet he would love it!
This looks like a really cool game. My other half will love this, as this is well up his street x
The girls would love this . They love Pokemon, they take after their daddy . Will definitely check this one out
It’s funny to see Pokemon fever spreading over another generation. I can remember my younger brother loving Pokemon when he was little.
