Ryans Rescue Squad is the new game from Stage clear studios and Outright games, set from the popular franchise of Ryan’s World! This game is released on multiple platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia.

Ryans Rescue squad is a side-scrolling platform, his friends have been taken hostage from Dark Titan, and you have a selection of characters featuring Ryan, Combo Panda, Alpha Lexa, or Gus the Gummy Gator. you have the ability to choose these and as you play the game you can unlock different skins/parts to the character to add further customising to the game.
Being that side-scrolling on the most part, it’s historically an easier way to platform adventure games, many big key franchises and releases have done this and prove it, this is no different and actually works very well, Piglet being 6 picked up this very well.
She was able to understand the levels and what to collect etc, sometimes fully 3d open-world can be a little tough but the side scroll is better. It’s fairly simple to understand the story and what you have to do, each level is different and with that others different types of enemies and items to collect, however, it is challenging enough that even Tigger who 11 still enjoyed playing it, and that’s another big plus to the game.
Coop is smooth and Player 1 is key, player two will automatically teleport to player 1 if they get stuck or too far away or can’t do that part, which if your playing with younger kids can be great because they still feel part of the game without anyone getting frustrated.

Overall
Outright Games have provided a great range of kids based games and to be honest with a limited amount of younger kids availability on the platforms, these games are the better ones to go for, Ryans world is huge, and this for me is the best Ryan game I’ve seen so far.
Side-scrolling platform game was the right choice and it does really well showcasing that, the Coop mode is the best part of it for me as a parent watching them, being able to teleport to that stronger player speeds up and solves a lot of issues, but overall its a really good game, not just for Ryans fans, even though they will love it, but as a platformer goes is solid.
